Picture Me

A festival celebrating the art of illustration, with world-leading picturebook makers, painting our windows for Wellington. 

The Picture Me festival for children and adults brings the rich tradition of European children’s book illustration to Aotearoa New Zealand in a lively festival of art and ideas.

Events in Wellington include free hands-on workshops, discussion panels and networking and the Picture Me exhibition at Te Auaha, featuring guest European illustrators Aurore Petit from France, Antje Damm from Germany and Piotr Socha from Poland.

The three visiting artists will be showing their work in the exhibition alongside New Zealand illustrators and, from the 12th September, will be collaborating on a painting on the windows of Te Auaha Gallery - 65 Dixon Street.
