Uncle Vanya

Whitireia Stage & Screen proudly presents Anton Chekhov's Uncle Vanya, directed by Cassandra Tse.

“What can we do? We must live our lives…”

In a country estate in 19th century Russia, the Voitski and Serebrakoff families have an uneasy coexistence. As summer wanes, the characters fall in and out of love, confront past wounds, and search for meaning.

Chekhov’s finest play is a tragicomic tale of regret, desire, connection, and the bittersweet absurdity of human existence.
